FTL Log Entry 42
Captain's Log, Day 42:
We received another distress call when arriving out of FTL, similar to the one where we encountered the Mantis the first time. This time, it was apparently a Mantis trap on an Engi ship, and a single Mantis teleported into our engine room.
I immediately evacuated the engine room of atmosphere and had Bjorn target their weapon systems, as their ion weapons could prove to be a problem. Once their weapons were disabled, we focused on their oxygen system.
The boarder suffocated to death, and his body was sucked out into the vacuum of space. I sealed the ship and began recirculating air so Aisha could return to her post. I then sent Fleischy and Stick over to the enemy ship do wreak as much havoc as they could.
Unfortunately, Fleischy was lost in combat, and Stick just barely made it back to the ship. I sent Aisha and Bjorn over to finish the job and avenge their fallen comrade. They brought back a missile, a drone, and 57 scrap.
We didn't have time to mourn the loss of Fleischy, as the Rebels were catching up to us faster than expected. We jumped to the nearby store, hoping Fleischy was the last crew member we would lose.
