FTL Log Entry 39
Captain's Log, Day 39:
We came across a small moon. A quick scan with our sensors revealed an Engi colony hiding there. Apparently they were excavating a supply depot from the Federation-Mantis war. I remember those times...it was those pilots that got me interested in flying in the first place. Protecting the innocent, safeguarding peace, and standing up against the Mantis menace, those men were the epitome of bravery.
Anyway, after some communication with Pipaluk and Jones, we were informed that we could either take the supplies or trap the cache for the Rebel fleet. We decided to place two missiles there, poised to take out the engines of any Rebel ships foolish enough to get close. It was a desperate act, but we needed to put some distance between us and the fleet. The Engi on the moon then rigged a small distress beacon and aimed it at the Rebel fleet while we made a jump to the next beacon.
