FTL Log Entry 36
Captain's Log, Day 36:
When we arrived in the Engi homeworld sector, Jones and Pipaluk's systems went into overdrive. Apparently the fall of the Federation brought hard times to the Engi, but hopefully they'll be willing to help us.
The first jump brought us to an automated refueling station where we could purchase fuel cells for 2 scrap a piece. We bought one, and prepped for the next jump.
While waiting for the engines to charge, I visited Pipaluk in the shield generator room. That thing that I had assumed to be a shrine was now wired into the shield system, and helped recharge the shields at a faster rate, assuming the generator wasn't damaged. Those guys sure are handy. I hope they understand how much they're helping everyone by working with us.
