FTL Log Entry 24

Captain's Log, Day 24:

We happened across a small repair station at this beacon.  It was full of automated drones, and we were greeted with a message of "We don't know who you are and we don't care, but this is the right place for ship repair!"  The message got a chuckle out of me, as I wasn't expecting a playfully joyous advertising jingle.

According to Pipaluk and Jones, it was an Engi manufacturing plant that was retrofitted to be a repair yard.  The jingle was written by a consultant in order to drive more business, as the Engi weren't exactly great at advertising and appealing to humans.  Go figure.

We didn't have enough scrap for any of their repair options, so we just floated on by the station waiting for our engines to recharge.  I spent a great deal of that time looking out into the emptiness, expecting the Rebels to arrive at any second.

We set a course for the sector's long-jump beacon, and prepped for a battle.  We knew the Rebels would be waiting for us when we arrived.
